As her 35th birthday approaches, Charlize Theron was looking fabulous while spotted out shopping at Marc Jacobs in NYC earlier this week..
One of the most sought after stars in Tinseltown, the award-winning actress is set to star in over 6 films over the next few years including ?Mad Max: Fury Road,? ?Hancock 2? and ?Florence of Arabia,? just to name a few.
Meanwhile, Ms Theron was also spotted during the course of the past week out to dinner with a girlfriend when they were invited over to Leonardo DiCaprio?s dinner table at Teddy?s – which is inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Of the meet-up, an onlooker said the graceful actress and the ?Inception? actor were very cordial to each other, keeping the conversation polite and sweet.

Just one day after the premiere of the drama-filled second-season premiere of “Jersey Shore,” one of the show’s biggest stars, Snooki, was arrested in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the show is currently filming, MTV News confirmed.
Police officials confirmed to MTV News that Snooki, whose given name is Nicole Polizzi, was in police custody at press time. No further details regarding the arrest or why she was arrested were available, but TMZ reports that she was arrested for disorderly conduct.
The gossip website further reports that Snooki was seen near the beach at Seaside drinking what was believed to be Coca-Cola from a beer funnel. Additionally, she was earlier spotted doing shots at a local bar. A rep for MTV had no comment on the matter.
In photos reportedly taken around the time of the arrest, Snooki is seen walking on the boardwalk along with her pals Vinny and Ronnie from the show. Snooki is dressed in a hot-pink tiger-print T-shirt that says “I Heart Snooki,” a baseball cap, sunglasses, a miniskirt and hot green slippers. She was photographed being approached by officers and handcuffed, with co-star and friend JWoww by her side. It is unclear from photos what incident prompted the arrest.

Just one week after Foxy Brown’s arrest for allegedly violating a protective order during a dustup with her neighbor, the MC was involved in a big scuffle Thursday in a New York apartment-building lobby.
Witnesses confirmed to MTV News that Foxy (real name: Inga Marchand) was involved in a scuffle between a number of individuals, including her manager.
New York’s Daily News reported that the incident occurred after Brown was six hours late for an interview in which she was to discuss last week’s arrest. The rapper reportedly became combative after building staffers asked her to be quiet, and then became combative with her manager and others. She reportedly fled the scene before police arrived. The paper’s report was unconfirmed at press time.
A spokesperson for the Midtown South precinct told MTV the police have no information regarding the incident; Foxy’s manager had no comment.
Earlier this week, Foxy sat down with MTV News and gave her side of last week’s incident with her neighbor. “I was on my way to rehearsal with my band and I was leaving my mom’s house in Park Slope, [Brooklyn], where I always go; that’s the home that I was born in,” said Foxy. “And the police came and they saw the situation and there wasn’t any conflict or discord — they were really baffled. But a supervisor came and saw the [potential for] publicity. If my name was Keisha Brown and not Foxy Brown, I would have been let go.”

Khujo Goodie can crack a joke now, but a little over a week ago, his predicament was no laughing matter. The eldest member of legendary rap group the Goodie Mob was in a Henry County, Georgia, jail serving a sentence of five years, where he would have to be incarcerated for around two before he could get out.
“Henry County means ‘Hanging Every N—a Real Young,” Khujo said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, just 24 hours after he was released from prison last Tuesday. “That’s what I found out Henry County stands for.”
Khujo, born Willie Knighton Jr., spent 42 days in jail — 23 hours a day in lockdown — for three counts of being a convicted felon in possession of firearms. He had to walk around on crutches because part of his right leg was amputated after a 2002 car accident. The Atlanta veteran says his arrest and jail time was a major misunderstanding, a result of the correctional system bungling his paperwork.
“I was on probation in 1990, got off in 1993,” Khujo explained. “But Fulton County never put it through in the computer and never let them know I was all good. I had them firearms back when [Goodie Mob] dropped our first album, when we got our first check. You now how us country boys do, we got to have some rifles. So I’m thinking, I must be Gucci, all good. That was 15, 16 years, almost 20 years ago.”
Last summer, Khujo went to sell some of his firearms at a pawn shop and the authorities were alerted.
“The Feds was on me,” Khujo said. “They thought I was a gun-runner. I was like, ‘Why you wanna f— with me?’ They was like, ‘T.I., guns! Soulja Boy, guns!’ And they said, ‘Khujo Goodie [guns!].’ Although Khujo’s gun case wound up not being pursued federally, the Henry County prosecutors stayed active. Khujo was already going back and forth for an unrelated case, and with his probation situation still not cleared up, Khujo was faced with two choices: going to trial on his gun charges and facing 15 years or plea out and be sentenced to five years, with the likelihood of getting out in two.
“I didn’t think it was gonna get cleared up, man,” Khujo said with candor. “I was down at Fulton County trying to get that situation squared away. Once I got it cleared up, I thought I was all Gucci. I thought I was all good. But it turned out they had somebody else’s name on the paperwork and they had the date wrong.
“I knew my court date was coming up,” he added. “I was thinking about Tip, [Lil] Wayne, Boosie, all them boys that went in. I was like ‘these n—as did a year, f— it, man.’ I thought I was gonna do two to the door.”
There is no such thing as a good time to go to jail, but Khujo’s legal woes came at a very inopportune time. Goodie Mob recently released a mixtape and the members were in the midst of recording their reunion album. Khujo also has a book he was planning to release. His group didn’t know his situation was that dire until it was almost too late.
“In all honesty, Khujo is a man’s man and very private and prideful about the ordeal,” his Goodie Mob partner Cee-Lo said. “I remember going through a stint of him going back and forth to court, then him getting there and it being prolonged and postponed for quite a while. Our attitude had become complacent with it. Even on the day they decided to detain him, I’d be talking to him the night before, and [he's] telling me he was going to pick out his jewelry. He drove himself to court. He ended up being detained to everyone’s dismay. So we weren’t even aware of it until that day. He called and said, ‘They got me.’
“That’s our rock, our Iron Man, Khujo named Goodie Mob,” Cee-Lo added, explaining why the group mates were devastated upon learning the news. “That’s big bro to all of us. I’m the baby. We try our best to support each other.”
Not only did Cee-Lo call in his own lawyer, as well as attorney Daniel Kane, who wound up taking the lead, but Outkast’s Big Boi also called in legal counsel, while Big Gipp and T-Mo Goodie and other members of the Dungeon Family rallied for their brother.
“It was very disheartening for it to take place at all,” Cee-Lo described. “But it was a blessing because I saw a miracle take place. It assured me that God had his hands and feet and heart all in this situation.”
Last Tuesday, during a hearing for the case, after both sides presented their case, the judge told the courtroom he wanted to get “creative,” according to Cee-Lo.
“The D.A. did make quite an impressive presentation of his point,” Cee-Lo said. “He spoke very clearly and articulately. I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ That’s when it dawned on me, it didn’t matter about the money; it didn’t matter about anything. If they saw to it that Khujo should remain for the remainder of the sentence, it would have been law.”
What the judge came up with was letting Khujo out of jail, on one condition: The Goodie Mob had to perform for and talk to the youth at sanctioned events.
“They asked were we interested in doing that, [and] I said, ‘We’ll do that today. Just get him outta here.’ You feel me?” Cee-Lo recalled. “It was cool. We came back in, I knew it was success. I felt completely happy and satisfied. The sun was shining so bright. It was overwhelming. My body felt like I was trembling beneath the surface of my skin. I couldn’t calm down.”
“We’re talking about going into the schools, getting drug-awareness programs going. Maybe doing a show for the kids,” Khujo added. “If it’s for the community, believe it or not, that’s what we do.”
Having his brother out was almost too overwhelming for Cee-Lo. “It’ll be commemorated as a modern-day miracle,” Cee-Lo said. “The sun was shining. All of a sudden it got hot. Everybody was there to support, his wife and family. The Mob was there, Big Boi came. It was a pleasure to see him. I know he’s riding ride on a successful solo album. To walk in and just see family was just very … it was calming.”
Khujo said when he was released he went straight to his home. “I got four boys and my wife. I went back to the house, man. They’re about to start school next month.”
Khujo’s case is still not over though. He has to return court on August 3 to be re-sentenced. Henry County District Attorney Tommy K. Ford did not return MTV News’ phone calls requesting comment by press time.
“It was a learning experience,” Khujo said. “I had a chance to get all the trash out of my mind, do some thinking.”
Finished up with her stay in the Big Apple, Heidi Klum was spotted leading her brood through the terminal at JFK Airport in New York City on Friday (July 30).
The supermodel mommy looked ever-so-stylish as she walked with Leni, Henry, Johan and baby Lou en route to catch a flight back to the west coast.
Miss Klum had been situated in NYC as she promoted the new season of “Project Runway” – which debuted just last night (July 29).
Talking about the best part of launching a new season, Heidi replied, “Every time I?m intrigued to see how the designers are. We never really know what they?re made out of when we do the casting. The people come in, and they bring their clothes. But have they really made those clothes? Did someone help them with this? How long did they spend on the garment they?re showing? It shows pretty much in the first two episodes who has a lot of talent and who kind of slid into this thing.”
As for the biggest change between Season 7 and Season 8, she dished, “We have 30 more minutes now. It?s going to be 90 minutes. So if, say, one of the designers has a fight with someone, that will be taking more space up in the show. Or if someone has trouble sewing something, we will follow that story. ? When we?re sitting and doing our chats in the director?s chairs without the designers, sometimes it is so intense, we might show more of that than usual. So it?s really going to be the same as what people already know, just more of it.”
The future of “American Idol” was already up in the air with Simon Cowell’s exit from the show before Ellen DeGeneres announced she wasn’t coming back and rumors started circulating that Kara DioGuardi was also leaving the confines of the judges’ table. Close watchers of the show say they saw this ‘difficult decision’ coming.By Gil Kaufman

Ellen DeGeneres was the first to admit that her first, and as it turns out, last, season on “American Idol” was not smooth sailing. In the statement announcing her departure from the show, the daytime talk queen and veteran comedienne copped to feeling uncomfortable criticizing young singers. “It was a difficult decision to make,” DeGeneres said, “but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”
MTV News reached out to its panel of “Idol” experts for reaction on Friday (July 30), and each member said they were not shocked that DeGeneres pulled the ripcord on her three-year contract.
“I’ve been hearing the rumor for a long time, so I wasn’t surprised,”
said Entertainment Weekly senior writer Jessica Shaw. “She started off very strong and was critical and fun and was some much needed new energy on the show. But as the season progressed, she got more and more stale. I think people thought she wouldn’t add that much to next season.”
Whether DeGeneres jumped or was pushed, Shaw said she left the show in a very classy way that just enhances her image as the daytime queen of nice.
MJ Santilli, who runs the “Idol” fansite MJ’s Big Blog, admitted that she initially expected DeGeneres to be back for a second season, but after going back and watching season nine she can see why Ellen opted out.
“She just always seemed like the outcast that didn’t fit in and didn’t seem comfortable giving critiques,” said Santilli, who was pulling for DeGeneres after having initial misgivings. “I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt when [her hiring] was first announced, because she was such a likable person. During Hollywood week they edited her very well and she seemed funny, but during the live shows it got worse and worse. What she said was often of little value, her jokes were stale and the more I looked back on it the more uncomfortable it was. I could understand why she’d be ready to bail by the end of the season.”
Santilli’s low point was when DeGeneres broke the show’s etiquette and rushed on stage to give Teflon singer Tim Urban a hug after one of his many mediocre performances, a move that likely saved Urban and pushed out more beloved singer Alex Lambert. “That was the epitome of why she sucked as a judge,” said Santilli.
Throughout the season, Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University and longtime “Idol” watcher, was pulling for DeGeneres. But he was left wondering why someone with more than two decades of performing experience could not seem to get it together.
“She’s a gifted comic actress, but when she got into the judge’s seat none of her talents came out and she didn’t belong there,” said Thompson, who thought it was best for the show that DeGeneres bowed out. “Her presence on the panel was not working at all.”
The trick now, he said, is to find that elusive chemistry that will work in the absence of both DeGeneres and departed lead judge Simon Cowell — as well as the possible absence of Kara DioGuardi, who has reportedly been let go.
Rumors that singer Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler are in line to join the panel have surfaced, but Thompson noted that finding the right mix of judges will be tricky.
“Ellen’s the perfect example,” he said. “She’s someone you thought would be good because she’s so good on her talk show, but she was uncomfortable. So it’s not only how they perform, but also the chemistry of all of them together. You don’t know how two chemicals will react until you put them in a beaker and see if they explode.”

On Thursday night, Angelina made her big return to “Jersey Shore.” And her return did not get a very warm response, especially from the ladies.
“I think that the show is pretty intense so far,” she told MTV News at a viewing party at Fushimi Japanese Cuisine & Lounge, which is located in her native Staten Island, New York. “I think that the whole entire cast is picking on me so far on the show and you can see that if you’re watching it. I think it’s really upsetting and at the same time I think that I held my own.”

Steve Carell and Paul Rudd in “Dinner for Schmucks”
Photo: Paramount Pictures
After two straight weeks of adrenaline-raising debuts from “Inception” and “Salt,” a trip to the multiplex this weekend might not tax your blood pressure so much as your funny bone, because “Dinner for Schmucks” is now in the mix.
Paul Rudd and Steve Carell’s new comedy will likely not sell enough tickets to prevent “Inception” from winning a third straight weekend at the box office. But these two funnymen — reuniting again after “The 40 Year-Old Virgin” and “Anchorman” — should provide stiff competition for Angelina Jolie’s “Salt.”
Which flick will triumph? It all may depend of word-of-mouth, so MTV News took a look at what the critics are saying about “Schmucks.”
“Carell plays the schmuck of ‘Schmucks,’ a cheerily moronic walking disaster named Barry, who is befriended by Tim (Paul Rudd), a rising businessman seeking to get ahead with his boss (Bruce Greenwood). As in the 1998 French film ‘The Dinner Game,’ on which the new movie’s based, the boss holds parties where each employee brings a twit; the best twit wins a prize without knowing he’s actually the evening’s biggest joke. The movie pretends to be appalled at the cruelty of this notion, but its heart isn’t in it; these days, mocking the afflicted and the affected is an established source of profits for Hollywood in general and Roach in particular. Barry is Tim’s chosen twit, and within hours of their meeting he has reduced his new friend’s life to itty-bitty pieces of rubble.’ — Ty Burr, Boston Globe
“Carell is perfectly in his element as a sweet-natured, well-meaning guy who becomes a tornado of destruction in Tim’s life, and the script comes up with clever ways for him to cause this trouble without meaning to. But there’s a problem, not a huge or fatal one, but something that tempers the intensity of the comedy throughout: Because Tim is not powerful, not rich and not a terrible person, and because he’s played by Paul Rudd, who is about as likable as a beagle puppy, the spectacle of seeing his property destroyed and his relationships damaged is not one we witness with abandoned glee. We laugh. We enjoy it, but without the sadistic giddiness that might have put this one over the top.” — Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle
“Roach may be the least organic director of comedy currently working in Hollywood. Other directors strive for svelte invisibility, teeing up their setups so imperceptibly that all the actors have to do is roll up and take a clean spike at the ball. Roach is down in the sand pit, furiously digging his way out, passing off the sweaty contrivance of his set pieces as comic zaniness. It’s more like a form of comic epilepsy: He whips up the performances to almost unendurable levels of frenzy and then discards them for someone new, like a bored child riffling through toys.” — Tom Shone, Slate
The Supporting Players
“The success of this movie, following a formula upheld by just about any recent hit comedy you can name, lies as much with supporting players and plot-derailing set pieces as with the central story and characters. Jemaine Clement (of the comedy duo Flight of the Conchords) as a pompous, goatish artist; Zach Galifianakis as an I.R.S. flunky who believes he has the power to control other minds; Lucy Punch as a lovestruck stalker with no control over anything: these are the people who propel the movie on its meandering, offbeat path toward a madly farcical climax followed, inevitably and less happily, by a soft and sentimental dénouement.” — A.O. Scott, The New York Times
The Final Word
“‘Dinner for Schmucks’ is as light as a fistful of feathers — as a comedy in the age of Apatow, it’s barely there. But the sharp cast is smart enough not to weigh down the airy tale with heavy shtick (which might have been a temptation), and director Jay Roach lays out the story with straightforward simplicity. The movie becomes funnier than you might expect at the beginning; as summer comedies go, it’s a small surprise.” — Kurt Loder, MTV News

MTV Rough Cut: ‘Dinner For Schmucks’
‘Dinner For Schmucks’ Exclusive Images Are Here!
I have to say, ‘Scott Pilgrim vs The World’ looks like a movie mostly for the teenagers, although I like Michael Cera. Then again, I guess you could make the same arguments for ‘Superbad’ and ‘Juno,’ which plenty of adults liked.
How does this look?
After the break you can check out a couple more trailers.
Here’s Jada Pinkett Smith outside of the studios where they film ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’ I’m guessing she was there to discuss her TNT show ‘HawthoRNe,’ so if her appearance hasn’t aired yet, it’ll probably air early next week (‘HawthoRNe’ airs on Tuesdays).
She must’ve literally JUST gotten back from the ‘Karate Kid’ press tour across Europe. I bet she’s exhausted!
Jada seems to favor the single-shoulder look. She wear a one-shoulder white dress for ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ and below you can see she wore a black one-shoulder blouse with black slacks at the ‘Karate Kid’ premiere in Norway. Jada’s certainly got the arms for it!
I’m a fan of this look on her. Are you a fan of the one-shoulder look in general?

NCADD’s Robert J. Lindsey tells MTV News that working is an ‘extremely important’ part of her recovery process. By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Garth Bardsley

As Lindsay Lohan rides out her stint in jail, the troubled starlet is very likely mulling over her plans for the future. While her present circumstances may appear bleak, an addiction expert tells us that there is hope for the actress. Robert J. Lindsey, president and CEO of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) told MTV News that despite her personal and professional trials, Lohan can bounce back.
“Without question, Lindsay can recover. We have seen over and over people whose lives have progressed to the point where they lose their job, they lose their family, they lose their physical health, they lose their freedom. But still, people can and do recover from their alcoholism and addiction,” Lindsey said, adding that as an addict, Lohan may have a natural strong affinity for drugs and alcohol. However, she is not alone, and numbers suggest that she can overcome her issues.
“We estimate today there are 22 million people in this country over the age of 12 that are addicted to alcohol and other drugs. The good news is we also estimate that there may be as many as 15 million individuals and family members living in recovery. The good news is, absolutely, Lindsay can recover.”
Following her prison bid, Lohan will report to rehab for 90 days, and Lindsey said that her experience in rehab should kick off a long process of recovery that Lohan will have to vigilantly maintain.
“That 90-day period is incredibly important as starting the recovery process. It is not the solution, it is the first step in the process,” said Lindsey. “The next critical [step] is that when she leaves the facility … what are you going to do to make sure that you’re life’s different? Are you going to need to find different friends, different support, ongoing therapy, ongoing involvement in 12-step groups, regular testing? All of those things can be very important steps in the process.
“Without question, anybody who’s living with active alcoholism and addiction has to do a number of specific things to begin the process of recovery,” Lindsey continued. “Number one is to safely stop their use of alcohol or other drugs. And then, begin to do the things that are necessary for their ongoing recovery. That’s education and information. That’s getting connected to a support group that can help them. That’s getting therapy for themselves and/or for their family that can help them and begin to make the changes that are gonna be needed and necessary to be able to maintain a lifestyle that’s alcohol- and drug-free.”
After spending years as a fixture on the international nightclub circuit and fending off ever-present hordes of paparazzi as her career declined due to a rash of box-office flops, Lohan has fallen victim to several of the pitfalls of fame. However, Lindsey asserts that getting back in the game could benefit the star.
“What we’ve learned over the years is that work is an extremely important part of someone’s recovery. For all of us, we literally define ourselves in many cases by what we do. [If] somebody says, ‘Who are you?’ We tell them who we are and then we tell them what we do. For her, the opportunity to return back to work, to fulfill those responsibilities … the things that are so rewarding to her, are extremely important in her recovery.”
What are you looking forward to seeing Lindsay Lohan do when she leaves rehab? Let us know in the comments below.
Showing off her injuries from the hands of Michael Lohan, Kate Major was spotted out and about in New York City on Wednesday afternoon (July 28).
The former girlfriend of both Lohan and Jon Gosselin wore a sling to cradle her injured arm, which reportedly was banged up during a physical altercation with the father of incarcerated actress Lindsay Lohan.
Having called off plans for a wedding, Kate most recently has been concerned that her ex-fiance is trying to sell nude photos he snapped of her while she was sleeping.
In attempt to keep those photos private, Kate hit Michael with a cease and desist letter which reads, ?We have recently become award that you are illegally selling or offering for sale one or more nude photographs of Ms Major to kikster LLC and other websites.?

While producer Rodney Jerkins is expecting to begin work on an album of unreleased Michael Jackson music, Ne-Yo, on the other hand, isn’t sure what to do with the material he wrote for the late King of Pop before MJ’s death last year. The R&B singer/songwriter told Australia’s Daily Telegraph that he was sending Jackson three or four drafts a week prior to his unexpected death. More than a year later, Ne-Yo now still stands at a crossroads as he contemplates what to do with the songs he created specifically for the one and only MJ.
“I can’t sell them on to someone else, as that would be disrespectful, but I also think it might be disrespectful to bring them out myself. So I don’t know, I’ll sit on them and wait. It’s definitely quality music but they were songs written absolutely for Michael Jackson.”
According to the newspaper, Jackson hand-picked Ne-Yo as well as Black Eyed Peas producer Will.I.Am to work on his comeback album. It was only a matter of time before Ne-Yo was met face to face with his musical idol.
“I felt quite bad, as I’d allowed what the media had done to his name and image to have me thinking, ‘OK, what’s this about to be? Is this going to be weird?’ ” he recalled. “But he walked in a black suit and some sunglasses and was a genuine, nice guy. And it wasn’t because he wanted something from me, he just had no reason other than to be a decent guy.”
During their meeting, the duo talked about the current state of the music industry, something Ne-Yo says Jackson wasn’t too pleased with. “He believed what was wrong with a lot of music today is that people aren’t singing about anything. If it’s not about a party or sex then it’s about money, and there’s not really much to that.”
Ne-Yo, who has penned hits for Beyoncé and Rihanna as well as himself, explained that the entertainer wanted songs that were “melodic and meaningful.” “Michael told me the melodies needed to be the ones you heard once and could sing back, and the lyrics needed to have meaning and depth,” he said.
Unfortunately, Ne-Yo’s submissions weren’t recorded by Jackson, because the singer put his album on hold to rehearse for his This Is It concert series at London’s 02 Arena before passing away.
But Ne-Yo has hope that one day he’ll figure out what to do with the Jackson tracks. “Hopefully the songs will see the light of day, it just has to be the right way,” he said.
What do you think Ne-Yo should do with the songs he created for Michael Jackson? Should he keep them locked up or let someone else give them a try? Let us know what you think below!

Back when he was 17, current Miami Heat megastar Dwyane Wade was just another kid trying to figure it all out … except when he was in the classroom, that is. Because when it came to hitting the books, he did the bare minimum.
“I was kind of student that did just enough to get by,” he confesses on the newest episode of MTV’s “When I Was 17.” “I hated chemistry, and I didn’t get it because I didn’t think I was going to have to use it. I was like, I’m not gonna have to dissect frogs. I don’t even like frogs.”
About the only thing he hated more than frogs, it would seem, was math. And while he was already a burgeoning star on the Harold L. Richards High School basketball team, he struggled hard when it came to stuff like algebra (join the club). But luckily, he came across one teacher who helped change all that. And it didn’t hurt things that she was easy to pay attention to.
“I eventually found a teacher that kind of explained everything to me, in a way that I understood it. So I was like, OK, I need this teacher every year. So I had the same math teacher every year in high school,” he explains. “Her name was Ms. Porrello … she was my all-time favorite teacher because she was easy on the eyes. So, you know, I had a small, little high school crush that kind of made me want to work harder, because I wanted to impress.”
So with his math game on lock, Wade focused on improving his basketball too. And unlike algebra, hoops came pretty easy. After all, when he turned 17, he grew 6 inches, which turned him into the man on the Richards High team. And, really, that hasn’t changed since then.
“When I turned 17, I grew. The year before I was 5′ 8″, and I came back to school and I was 6′ 2″. I always had big hands and big feet, and my father always told me, ‘You’re gonna grow, your time’s gonna come.’ It took a little while, but once it came, it came all at once, and it came at a great time.”
“When I Was 17″ — this week featuring Holly Madison, Dwyane Wade, and Joel and Benji Madden — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV.
Plus, the Young Money siren toys with different titles for her debut album.By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Matt Elias

Nicki Minaj’s “Your Love” video has been out for several days, so by now you should know that the lovely Young Money siren kicks the bucket at the end of the clip. During a sword fight with her female rival, Nicki’s character, a martial arts student who’s in love with her sensei (played by Michael Jai White), comes out on the losing end when she catches some powder to the face and a sharp blade to the gut. Last week in Los Angeles, Nicki explained why she wanted to have a fatal attraction in the video.
“I just felt like that was the most emotional and truthful storyline,” Minaj explained. “I felt like mostly everyone would normally make themselves win in the end. I wanted to show that the only way I could be beat is if you cheat. If you cheat! If you play fair and square, I’m gonna win. It’s my little way of looking at it. Also, I felt it was almost heart-wrenching to see it. I made myself this nice girl in the video and you bond with the character, you know what I mean? You know what I mean. You see her die. I wanted people to talk about it in the end. ‘Why did she make that decision?’ I wanted them to cry.”
Nicki’s fans will be crying tears of joy when her long-anticipated debut album hits stores. She promises the project will be out before the end of the year, and she’s focusing heavily on recording her own songs.
“Maybe a few things cooking,” Nicki answered with a smile when asked if she has any more guest appearances coming up. “But right now, it’s all about the album. November 23. Nothing comes before that.” Then Nicki contemplated the title of her project.
“Maybe we should call it … The Album,” she ruminated. “Nicki Minaj: The Album,” she continued before dismissing the idea. “I don’t know, it’ll come.”
What do you think Nicki Minaj should call her new album? Let us know in the comments!

The always-adorable Vanessa Hudgens was reportedly heading to a church in Hollywood this morning, wearing sweats and a tank top. She’s carrying some sort of insulated tote, from the looks of it. I’m guessing she’s just dropping something off? Or maybe she’s taking a fitness class? Just taking a stab at it. I’m sure she’s not attending church services in her yoga pants, but you never know!
I’m sure she’d never speak out about it, but I wonder how Vanessa feels about the reports of boyfriend Zac Efron spending $2,000 on a lap dances this weekend.

Of course this isn’t a real movie Pop Eater found this mash-up that the people at Screen Rant created.
‘Toy Story: 3′ and ‘Inception’ are two of the biggest movies of the summer, although I never would’ve imagined them together- lol. Too funny!
Bridget Moynahan filmed scenes in NYC for her new fall show ‘Blue Bloods’, with co-star Will Estes (‘American Dreams’).
The show, which will air on CBS this fall, is centered around a family of New York police officers. Other stars involved in the show: Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and Len Cariou.
Are you looking forward to any of the new TV shows? Are you still mourning any cancellations/series endings? I’m always afraid to start watching new shows because if I get hooked, it’ll wind up getting axed!
Bridget is also co-starring in the movie ‘Ramona & Beezus’, which is in theaters now. Did you see it yet? I’ve heard it’s pretty cute!

Continuing to work on her project “W.E.,” Madonna was spotted making her way around Villefranche-sur-Mer, France on Wednesday (July 28).
The “Material Girl” had just landed at the Nice Airport, as she headed off to look for proper filming locales in the French Riviera commune ahead of shoots scheduled for Thursday.
Aside from her movie ambitions, the Daily Mirror is reporting that Madge is plotting a six-month tour as we speak.
?It?s going to be her biggest, most unexpected tour to date,? the Mirror’s source said. ?Madonna is in peak conditions so the grueling aspect of life on the road isn?t a problem.”
The insider adds, ?She also road-tested dancers at her fave London club, and had her lover, Jesus Luz, give his opinion.?
Isaiah Mustafa, who is now known all over the country as “The Old Spice Guy” because of his popular commercials that started with a Super Bowl ad, is now landing much larger roles. The actor (and former pro football player) just signed on for a small part in the upcoming Jennifer Aniston film “Horrible Bosses” – also starring Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Jason Sudeikis and Jason Bateman.
Isaiah is pretty psyched about the project, no matter how big or small his part in it is:
?It?s a smaller role, but who wouldn?t want to be in one of these funny, irreverent comedies? The cast is great,? Mustafa told the trade. ?I?m playing a cop because I play these authoritative characters well. I don?t know exactly who I?m in the scene with ? maybe Jennifer Aniston!?
The actor also shared what his dream gig would be:
??SNL? would be a dream,? he revealed to The Hollywood Reporter. ?It was one of the first television shows my mom let me stay up to watch. I was in love with Mr. Bill.?
Have you seen the Old Spice commercials with Isaiah?

Coming as no surprise, matters between Michael Lohan and Kate Major are escalating and quickly at that.
Last week, Major claimed that Lohan became physically abusive to her just before he left for Los Angeles, CA to watch daughter, Lindsay, be whisked away to jail.
This week, Kate is concerned that her ex-fiance is trying to sell nude photos he snapped of her while she was sleeping.
In attempt to keep those photos private, Kate hit Michael with a cease and desist letter which reads, ?We have recently become award that you are illegally selling or offering for sale one or more nude photographs of Ms Major to kikster LLC and other websites.?
He?s certainly made watching commercials worth the while, and it is now being reported that Isaiah Mustafa is set to star in an upcoming film alongside Jennifer Aniston.
The funny spokesman for Old Spice is reportedly appearing in the Warner Bros. film ?Horrible Bosses,? which stars Ms Aniston and Jason Bateman.
Furthermore, Mr Mustafa is also confirmed in a role for the upcoming Tyler Perry?s ?For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.?
The characters that Isaiah will be playing are still unknown, but will hopefully reflect his entertaining ways in the Old Spice gigs.
Bollywood superstar and daredevil actor Akshay Kumar has gone a step ahead than his industry colleagues to make a debut in Hollywood as a film producer, not actor. His first foreign venture in Hollywood is going to be an Indo-Canadian film, entitled “Break away.” The film will be directed by Robert Lieberman, also director of the recently-finished “The Tortured” and will star the Canadian-born actor Emily Van Camp, who has earlier starred in the hit television series “Brothers and Sisters.” This Indo-Canadian film is a proof of the kind of popularity that Akshay enjoys in Canada, where he recently played host at a dinner meeting between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper. Reports suggest that Akshay, or Akki as he is popularly called in the tinseltown, has had designs on Hollywood for a long time now and after the “Break Away” releases, he intends to establish his banner, Hari Om Productions, further into the American soil by looking for more suitable alliances in the West.
Cheryl Cole is feeling much better. The gorgeous singer, who came down with malaria a few weeks ago, will return to her seat on The X-Factor judging table this week. “Cheryl loves the show and is desperate to get back to work,” says a friend. “She’s under doctors’ orders to that it easy. But it’s a big step that she’s back on board.” Following a trip to Tanzania with boyfriend Derek Hough last month, Cole spent a week in intensive care due to this disease. But she’ll return for the British version of American Idol in time for the elimination stage.Said the insider: “She has put all her energy into getting better and it’s paid off. Simon has told her he can’t wait to have her back.”Zoe Saldana
Wendy Williams made a career of speaking out, but now the “Wendy Williams Show” host is giving back. She’s dedicated the month of September to collecting school supplies for a Asbury Park middle school in New Jersey.Along with encouraging audience members to donate new school supplies for Asbury Park Middle School, Williams is partnering up with DonorsChoose.org so that supporters can help schools around the country and in their area in donating school supplies or making donations.Asbury Park is special to Williams. Her parents were both teachers in the area’s school system. I’m so thankful for so many different things that have gone on in my life. I lived in Asbury Park, that’s where I was born and my mom and dad taught for a really long time in the Asbury Park school system. So it would only be fitting, you have to give back to where you come from.”To help with Williams’ adopt-a-school initiative, supporters can visit www.donorschoose.org/wendywilliams.

It’s hard to believe it, but a quick check of the calendar shows that we’re almost halfway through the summer. Yes, already! On a related note, a quick check of the pop charts and our own Top 20 Video Countdown shows that Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” has had a stranglehold on the top spot for the last few weeks, clearly cementing herself as the favorite to take home the this year’s Song of the Summer prize. However, don’t go engraving her name on the award just yet! Atlanta’s prodigal son, T.I., has been out of the clink and hard at work in the studio for a few months now and is ready to enter the race with “Got Your Back” (with a chorus featuring the sultry vocals of Keri Hilson). Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz’s tandem may currently be getting an average response at the box office, but back in 2001, they frustrated moviegoers. Their first team-up “Vanilla Sky” has been voted the most frustrating and confusing film ever. A recent poll conducted by DVD rental company LoveFilm reveals that the part-love story, part-sci-fi flick frustrated more film enthusiasts than any other films. The Cameron Crowe’s remake of the Spanish film “Abre Los Ojos” garnered 16 percent, edging equally frustrating psychological thriller “Mulholland Drive” to second place. Time-traveling, sleepwalking “Donnie Darko” comes at third, while “The Matrix: Revolutions,” the third and final installment of the trilogy, is at fourth.
