Fans have been waiting for a sneak peek at the new movie “Lawless” for some time and, now, the wait is over! Yahoo! Movies released the first trailer to the new gangster meets western film on Tuesday (April 24).

Stemming from a true story following the Bondurant brothers and their bootlegging siblings who take the law into their own hands, the John Hillcoat directed caper is based on the novel, “The Wettest County in the World,” by Matt Bondurant.

The new crime-drama flick stars Shia LaBeouf as the youngest brother, Jack Bondurant, Tom Hardy as Forrest Bondurant and Jessica Chastain as Forrest’s love interest, Maggie.

The film is set to hit theaters August 31, but you can watch the trailer below!

They are pop-culture royalty, and the Kardashian family has now reportedly made reality television history thanks to their recent deal with E!.

According to a report put out by TMZ on Tuesday (April 24), the wild and outspoken family have signed on for three more seasons of their series, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” for a whopping $40 million…the most ever paid in a reality TV deal.

Sources connected with the massive deal also say that the monetary amount does not include any of the products or other endorsements that Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan can earn.

With season six of the wildly popular show averaging about three million viewers, we can definitely see why future seasons got the green light. The 18-episode, seventh season is set to hit the airwaves May 20.

NEW YORK — The Wanted made their “Today” show debut on Tuesday (April 24), the day of their debut U.S. EP release.

The fans’ energy was predictably high when the guys stepped outside to the famed Rockefeller Plaza. Before their scheduled performance, the group greeted their devoted legion of female fans, who had made up signs to welcome the guys to the show.

All five fellas happily took the time to pose with fans and sign autographs in the moments leading up to their performance. Then they sang not only their chart-topping track “Glad You Came” but also their new single, “Chasing the Sun.”

“We’ve done two albums, so we’re trying to catch people up in America,” Wanted member Tom Parker told co-host Ann Curry about the EP, their first official Stateside release. They then launched into “Glad,” clad in leather jackets and displaying their boy-band bravado.

After they left the stage, they shared with MTV News that they were thankful to all the people who showed up. “It was average at best,” Jay McGuiness joked about the performance, teasing that “Chasing the Sun” was a “hot mess like Lindsay Lohan.”

The “Today” show was the first of many media appearances the Wanted will make on Tuesday, leading up to their “MTV First” special airing tonight at 7:53 p.m. on MTV. They will sit down with MTV News’ Sway Calloway to debut the “Chasing the Sun” video and chat.

Immediately following the MTV premiere, the fivesome are hanging around for an additional 30-minute live Q&A session with Sway on MTV.com. Fans can get in on the action by submitting video or text questions via MTV.com or @MTVNews on Twitter, using the hashtags #MTVFirst or #AskTheWanted.

The guys are also one of the 32 hopefuls in MTV’s Battle of the Boy Bands, which pits some of the greatest boy bands of all time against one another, until fans vote their favorite group to #1. The battle kicked off on Monday at BBB.MTV.com, with the first round ending on Thursday. Fans can weigh in on the matches on Twitter using the hashtag #BBB. The winner of Battle of the Boy Bands will be announced on Monday, May 7, live on “AMTV” on MTV.

Young MC calls Tip a ‘snitch’ after he talked to Chicago morning show about her beef with Iggy Azalea.

T.I. has been involved in his fair share of rap beef. From Lil’ Flip to Ludacris to Shawty Lo, Tip has held his own against some pretty serious dudes, but when it comes to the attacks from rookie female MC Azealia Banks, the Trouble Man wants no part of it.

Banks took exception when T.I.’s new artist Iggy Azalea landed the 2012 XXL Freshman cover earlier this year. The Harlem rapper had no problem lashing out at Iggy via Twitter, and when Tip defended his new protégé on DJ Drama’s radio show in March, Banks fired shots at the King too.

“[Banks] wasn’t the only one who felt funny about it. It was a trending topic people felt so funny about it,” Iggy told MTV News earlier this month about her inclusion on the Freshman list.

Iggy wasn’t chosen to be on XXL‘s coveted cover by the staff outright, instead she won a people’s choice vote held on the magazine’s website. The Australian-born rapper beat out 49 other rookie MCs to earn her spot along other notables like French Montana, MGK and Future. “Out of all those people, I had the most fans, it’s not my fault. You should’ve voted for who you wanted because everybody else did and not to be rude, it was me.”

T.I., however, hasn’t been so diplomatic in his response. “The fact that she’s speaking up on me and mine, I didn’t even see it,” he said about Banks when he appeared on the “Tony Sculfield and the Morning Riot” radio show in Chicago on Monday morning (April 23). “That’s a bitch sh–, I’ma man. You ain’t got no business addressing me. Get your man to address me, if you got a man, get him to address me and he and I can speak on it.”

It doesn’t seem like Banks, whose video for her single “212″ is fast approaching 12 million views on YouTube, has taken heed. “@tip T.i …. Please shut the f— up about this. Like seriously quit it,” she tweeted hours after the Grand Hustle CEO’s interview aired.

Banks continued with a full-on Twitter rant. “@tip funny how you have plenty of time to address me but have nothing to say to the dudes who been calling u at as a snitch forever,” she wrote. “@tip it’s dead… The streets already know what kind of dude you are. Stop making yourself look softer by dragging this out.”

She then proceeded to delete all of T.I.’s songs from her iTunes. “LMFAOO every time I delete a t.i. song from my iPad I imagine him dying in some bloody horror film like being eaten by a zombie,” she wrote.

The Battle of the Boy Bands is on, and that means fans can vote now on which of the 32 contenders can rise to the top and win the honor and distinction of being the fan-voted Best Boy Band of All Time.

With so many bands in the running, MTV News caught up with the guys from One Direction, who weighed in on their chances of going all the way. But before the guys explain why you should vote for them, we have some facts about the fivesome that may help you decide if they’re your ultimate boy band in the battle:

Highest Chart Achievement
The guys broke a record with their debut album, Up All Night, when they released it in the U.S. last month. Selling 176,000 copies, the band became the first British group to have their debut album enter the chart at #1.

Defining Tune
The guys have won the hearts of teen girls across our great land thanks to the feel-good anthem “What Makes You Beautiful,” about loving a girl who doesn’t know how beautiful she really is.

Standout Video
Their sunny, beachy clip for “What Makes You Beautiful” is their biggest entry into the world of music videos so far and certainly sets the tone for the five fun-loving lads. The Brits definitely won over American girls with the video’s SoCal vibe.

Debut Album
Up All Night dropped internationally in November 2011, and just like its chart success here in the States, it sold big, debuting at #2 with 138,631 copies in the U.K., which was enough to give it the highest sales for a #2 album in the U.K. for 2011.

Biggest Competition
Mostly the guys from the Wanted, who are the bad-boy answer to One Direction group of nice guys.

So why do One Direction think they should win our Battle of the Boy Bands? “You should vote for us to be the ultimate boy band if you like us,” Liam Payne said, with Louis Tomlinson adding, “If you like our music, then feel free to vote for us as the ultimate boy band. We’re just us.”

Harry Styles had this final reason One Direction deserves your vote: “We like to have a lot of fun.”

Voting in round one of MTV’s Battle of the Boy Bands is now open and runs until noon ET on Thursday, April 26. ‘I’ve heard amazing things about him, so it’s gonna be a fun ride,’ film’s co-star Josh Hutcherson says of series’ new director.

“Hunger Games” fans are wiping away their goodbye-Gary-Ross tears and getting ready to welcome Francis Lawrence into the world of Panem. If he accepts Lionsgate’s offer, the “I Am Legend” director will take over the successful franchise’s sequel, “Catching Fire.” We spoke to a few “Hunger Games” fansite experts to gauge their thoughts on the director. They agree he was a good choice to helm the film and are putting their faith in Lionsgate’s decision.

Hunger Games Examiner Sara Gundell was “really excited” by the news of Lionsgate’s offer. She felt that he was the best option of all the rumored directors. “I had been really disappointed when Gary Ross left,” she said. “And knowing that Francis Lawrence was going to take over, it got me excited again about the franchise. I think he’s going to do really amazing things. And I think of all of the other directors that Lionsgate was considering, or that we know they were considering, he brought kind of everything to the table in my opinion.”

As a fan of the previous films he’s directed, Arianna Ruiz from Down With the Capitol believes Lawrence can give fans the “Catching Fire” they’re greatly anticipating. “I loved ‘I Am Legend.’ I loved ‘Water for Elephants,’ especially. So, when I found out that he was chosen to direct ‘Catching Fire,’ I’m like, he can totally bring a movie that the fans want to see,” she said.

Amanda Belcher from The Hob tells us she’s trusting Lionsgate’s decision. “I’m hoping that Lionsgate chose him because they really thought that he could do the ‘Catching Fire’ that fans really want to see and that we deserve,” she said. “I’m hoping that he can really come through and becomes a fan of the material, and take what screenplay is there and work with Suzanne [Collins] and [producer] Nina [Jacobson] and really pull this together for us.”

Meanwhile, “Hunger Games” co-star Josh Hutcherson told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s “excited” to meet Lawrence. “I’ve heard amazing things about him, so it’s gonna be a fun ride,” he said.

If Peeta Mellark is eager to see Lawrence’s vision for the film, count us in!

“Catching Fire” is slated to hit theaters on November 22, 2013.

Round-one voting opens Monday — does the British fivesome have what it takes?

Our Battle of the Boy Bands kicks off Monday, and while we imagine you will spend the entirety of your weekend weighing the pros and cons of your fave groups, MTV News reached out to some of the contenders so they could tell you why they deserve your vote.

But before we hear from the Wanted, we wanted to take a look at some hard facts. Hey, this is basically an election, so we need to know where they stand on the issues!

Highest Chart Achievement
While “Glad You Came” peaked at #3 on the Hot 100, they went all the way to #1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart earlier this month.

Standout Video
Partying on the beach? Hanging with hot girls? Dancing and having a good time? The band’s “Glad You Came” video is a snapshot into the five Brits’ favorite things to do. (Next up, they will explore similar themes in their “Chasing the Sun” video.)

Defining Tune
Cheeky, dance-floor-ready and full of euphemisms (really think about it, guys), “Glad You Came” introduced America to the British fivesome. It seems we Americans are pretty glad they came.

Debut Album
While they have yet to drop their self-titled U.S. EP (it’s out Tuesday), the guys did release their first album, The Wanted, abroad in October 2010, and it peaked at #4 in the U.K.

Biggest Competition
They are currently trying to fend off One Direction in a race for the hearts of American girls. It’s the Sophie’s Choice of boy-band brawls.

So why do the guys think you should vote for them? Their answer might surprise you!

“We think you should vote for us because everything that we’ve ever been nominated for that goes to public vote, we’ve never won,” Max George pleaded.

“And also, you should vote for us because we are the worst-looking boy band of all time,” Nathan Sykes added.

The guys even weighed in on their favorite boy bands of all time. Siva Kaneswaran said, “My favorite boy band of all time is the Backstreet Boys. I have to say Backstreet Boys, because they showed me the reason for being lonely.”

“My favorite boy band of all time has to be the Jonas Brothers,” George chimed in. “Have you seen ‘Camp Rock’? Sick film.”

Round-one voting opens Monday — does the British fivesome have what it takes?

Our Battle of the Boy Bands kicks off Monday, and while we imagine you will spend the entirety of your weekend weighing the pros and cons of your fave groups, MTV News reached out to some of the contenders so they could tell you why they deserve your vote.

But before we hear from the Wanted, we wanted to take a look at some hard facts. Hey, this is basically an election, so we need to know where they stand on the issues!

Highest Chart Achievement
While “Glad You Came” peaked at #3 on the Hot 100, they went all the way to #1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart earlier this month.

Standout Video
Partying on the beach? Hanging with hot girls? Dancing and having a good time? The band’s “Glad You Came” video is a snapshot into the five Brits’ favorite things to do. (Next up, they will explore similar themes in their “Chasing the Sun” video.)

Defining Tune
Cheeky, dance-floor-ready and full of euphemisms (really think about it, guys), “Glad You Came” introduced America to the British fivesome. It seems we Americans are pretty glad they came.

Debut Album
While they have yet to drop their self-titled U.S. EP (it’s out Tuesday), the guys did release their first album, The Wanted, abroad in October 2010, and it peaked at #4 in the U.K.

Biggest Competition
They are currently trying to fend off One Direction in a race for the hearts of American girls. It’s the Sophie’s Choice of boy-band brawls.

So why do the guys think you should vote for them? Their answer might surprise you!

“We think you should vote for us because everything that we’ve ever been nominated for that goes to public vote, we’ve never won,” Max George pleaded.

“And also, you should vote for us because we are the worst-looking boy band of all time,” Nathan Sykes added.

The guys even weighed in on their favorite boy bands of all time. Siva Kaneswaran said, “My favorite boy band of all time is the Backstreet Boys. I have to say Backstreet Boys, because they showed me the reason for being lonely.”

“My favorite boy band of all time has to be the Jonas Brothers,” George chimed in. “Have you seen ‘Camp Rock’? Sick film.”

Voting in round one of MTV’s Battle of the Boy Bands begins Monday, April 23, at 7 a.m. ET and runs until noon ET on Thursday, April 26. In the aftermath of the tragic shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, the outraged public has latched on to a few symbolic items. When he was shot, young Trayvon was wearing a hooded sweatshirt on his way home from a store where he bought iced tea and a bag of Skittles. It was the hoodie that gunman George Zimmerman told police made the 17-year-old appear suspicious and in support of Martin, demonstrators have donned hoodies as a show of solidarity.

Others have even gone as far to suggest that the hood that Martin was wearing in some ways contributed to his death. During a televised Fox News broadcast, veteran journalist Geraldo Rivera argued that parents should not allow their black and Latino children to wear hoodies. “I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was,” he reasoned.

“The hoodie is something that we see all over America and all over the world,” Bun B said in response on Wednesday’s episode of “RapFix Live.” “People are starting to identify this culture of people by their clothing and starting to attribute certain things by the way they dress and that’s simply not fair.”

Illinois congressman Bobby Rush was removed from the House floor after he protested Martin’s murder by wearing a hood over his head. “Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum,” he said.

Rather than focus on the article of clothing that Trayvon was wearing when he was gunned down, Mississippi rapper and producer David Banner looked at what he feels is the deeper issue. “America is showing young black men: If you don’t make us comfortable around you, we will kill you,” he told MTV News on March 29. “As much as people don’t want to admit it, that’s what this is about.”

Banner urged Martin supporters to not focus on the clothes Martin was wearing, but rather the issue at large. Hoodie or not, he said black men are often the target, citing the 2009 police shooting of Oscar Grant and the 1991 LAPD beating of Rodney King as examples.

Instead, Banner urges demonstrators to focus their energy to change legislation that ensures that young black men like Martin are protected from corrupt police and overzealous authority figures. “If we don’t find what that is after this is no longer a trending topic, then we just lost another child again,” he said.

“Punk’d” kicked off in a big way Thursday night. Justin Bieber was enlisted to host the premiere episode of the new season, and he didn’t shy away from pulling fast ones on his A-list friends.

Bieber made Taylor Swift believe she ruined a wedding, leaving her in tears. And when he pranked MTV’s own Rob Dyrdek, he caught on and ended up joining forces with the Biebs to get Sean Kingston instead; the stunned singer stood up for an angry assistant who drove her boss’ car into a restaurant. Bieber also double-crossed Miley Cyrus, who thought she was pranking him, but he ended up fighting the kids she sent out to poke fun of him. She definitely wasn’t expecting that and ended up pretty shocked by the reverse prank.

Bieber is a known prankster in real life, and his pal and label signee Carly Rae Jepsen opened up to MTV News about his punker side — and proudly said she’s ready to take him on anytime.

“I haven’t seen that side of him myself yet, but I heard he’s a bit of a prankster, which is good. I like that,” she told MTV News. “I’m going to give him a run for his money. I enjoy a prank or two myself. It’s on! Watch your back!”

Cyrus will be back for more “Punk’d” fun later this season, when she hosts her own episode. She’ll punk beau Liam Hemsworth and pal Khloé Kardashian. Demi Lovato, the Wanted and more will also get “Punk’d” later this season.
